About compositions and music
In 2016 Mattias Sonnenberg as Mate de Berg compiled the official 52 minute accompaniment music in four topics piece for the Pärnu Summer of Art «Labyrinth» exhibition.
Mattias Sonnenberg also founded the new alternative music style named as Ultimatism that is based on composing rules and requirements. Few similarities found in modern-alternative-jazz improvisations that matches ultimatism sound and composition requirement rules.
The aim in composing is to cultivate professional alternative music, ultimatism and make some collaborative projects.
Mate de Berg styles: Ultimatism, classical minimalism, alternative, experimental, modern and classical music style directions.
Mattias Sonnenberg composes alternative music as Mate de Berg and other styles under name of The Priest. Earlier years Mattias Sonnenberg has performed under other pseudonym as singer in von Krahl and Privé Club. Has been a member of the Estonian Academy of Arts in choir (bass and tenor) and soloist, has performed an African music project, performed together with EKA choir in different places in Estonia and also once in Estonia Opera and Ballet theater.
Mattias Sonnenberg as The Priest composes music, plays instruments in, writes lyrics and sings. The main goal is creative activity and collaborative projects. The Priest’s styles: indie-folk-rock and covers.
Mattias Sonnenberg belongs to Estonian Authors Union. All works are registered in EAU and have copyright status. Most of the works have a sheet of music and the tracks for the guitar are written in chords and lyrics. All works are protected.
